New Year

Christmas has come and gone. My little three foot tree had 500 lights on it and what a beauty it was! Gifts were given and received. Family was wonderful. I wish the closeness and feelings of the season could last throughout the next year. Next year????
It is so hard to realize that 2009 is just around the corner! It seems as if 2008 just started last week. What a year it has been! The biggest news I got this year is that my son and his girfriend plan to wed next month. They had planned for October of 2009 and decided to move the date to January 7 because that is the only day in the year they are the same age. Well, the plans for the wedding quilt went out the window and I am not going to have a finished quilt to give to them on their wedding day. It will give them something to look forward to.

As for New Year's resolutions, I choose to borrow my guild's president's, Rhonda Woods, way of putting it: New Years Possibilities. It's possible I will be able to do the things I want to do, but if not, I'm not breaking any resolutions! I would like to finish all my UFO's and maybe start something new (the Wedding Quilt!). I would like to loose a little more weight and become a little more active.
