Pineapples

I created a pineapple plant from a pineapple I bought at the supermarket. I cut the top off and placed it in a pot of dirt, much like the pineapple growers in Hawaii do. It took root and grew. After several transplants into bigger pots, my baby created a pineapple on its own! I was told that it would never produce because it gets too cold in Jacksonville, FL, so I kept it indores when the temps outside went below 70 degrees at night. It took four years, but the baby has a baby!

Maybe I will make a pineapple quilt for my son and future daughter in law for their wedding a year from October. How lovely it would be in fall colors. I will have to think about this one.
